Legacy Point Advisors, LLC was formed by Dr. Mike Felix to advise emerging companies and leaders on culture, improving results through employee engagement, and hiring practices, and to mentor executives to realize their full potential as leaders. With more than 40 years' experience in technology companies, Dr. Felix was one of the founding employees at Sprint and led several venture-capital backed start-ups and turn-arounds, as well as several key divisions at AT&T.
In his operational roles at AT&T, Mike lived out his commitment to diversity by developing a curriculum for and investing time in formal mentoring relationships where he coached emerging leaders from all walks of life, having personally mentored more than 100 emerging leaders and junior executives. He also served as an executive sponsor for the field-services leadership training program at AT&T, where he regularly spoke to classes on developing authentic and effective leadership styles. Since retiring from AT&T, Dr. Felix has been featured as a guest speaker to mentoring circles and other employee resource events.
Mike has served on the boards of more than 15 for-profit and non-profit organizations, including: four technology companies, a state-owned investment bank, a major university foundation, a private venture-capital firm, a public policy forum for the Arctic, and four national non-profit organizations. He is currently actively involved as an advisor to four early-stage companies.
Dr. Felix holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida and a Ph.D. in media psychology from Fielding Graduate University.
